Following his feature on Detroit hip hop/ electronic collective Liquid Monk’s release ‘Come Down’ – singer/songwriter Apropos comes through with his debut solo material.

The emerging artist comes from a history of music – his father was a church singer and pastor, his grandfather a singer. The first single ‘She makes me’ is  an effortless gospel style that Apropos blends with a glitchy, synth-pop instrumental on a track that’s as glossy as it is a mainstream-looking gem. Moving between Detroit and London, Apropos linked up with fellow emerging producers Dave Benkel and Jack Lavelle of AZTX to create his album ‘(Verse)atility’.

The first single was released on July 27 2018 on Beverly Martel, a label fast becoming the home of unorthodox and eclectic hip-hop, electronica, and indie.

With the first release from his album ‘(Verse)atility’, Apropos positioned himself firmly in the emerging tastemaker sphere that sits equally between cool gospel and future pop. It’s a serious statement from the young artist and one that’s set to prick up ears across both sides of the Atlantic. All songs on (Verse)atility are published by Iamsound Music LLC
