NewVillager is embarking on a two-week long tour (see dates below).  On Saturday the 18th, they played a free concert in Pasadena… and packed them in.

LA Weekly’s Sam Bloch reviews the unique experience of touring the physical manifestation of NewVillager’s forthcoming album due out on IAMSOUND Records in August.

The band has taken over Human Resources in Chinatown, where they erected a one week only “Temporary Culture” installation, depicting the contents of their much anticipated debut self-titled album.  To read the full article click HERE.

The LA Times describes the installation as “more of a refugee camp for avant-garde space monsters”.  August Brown reviews the songs as “scintillant takes on voice-tweaked electronic pop doused in atypical optimism. Imagine the Knife’s demon-stalked synthetics, then imagine their exact opposite”.  To read the full article, click HERE.

Both Uncut and Q magazine are eagerly awaiting the release of MEN’s debut album ‘Talk About Body.’ With Uncut giving the album 4 stars and declaring it ‘hedonistic dance-pop with brainy-sexy lyrics’ and Q swooning over the band merging ‘irresistible funk with swagger,’ listeners should get ready for an earful.

As Uncut misquotes pioneering feminist Emma Goldman, ‘it’s not a revolution unless you can dance to it.’ ‘Talk About Body’ will be released this spring on IAMSOUND Records.
